KITE-SURFING LESSON STRUCTURE

First session – on the beach (2 hours)
We will pick you up from your hotel and take you by buggy to the kite spot: La Pointe (approximately 10 minutes via the beach and dunes of Icaraizinho).
This first lesson includes a short theoretical section on equipment, the spot, wind, weather, etc., followed by a practical section where you learn to fly a 4m kite 2 meters to familiarize yourself with wing handling, how to use a harness, safety systems, and the depower system.
At the end of this first lesson with our kite-surfing school, you will be able to control a kite on land and know the basics of the theory of flight of a traction kite.
Second session – Body-tossed swimming in the water (2 hours)
This course is dedicated to the practice of the body dragging technique.
This technique involves moving through the water, without a board, pulled by the kite…
During this course, you will be in the water, accompanied by the instructor, then alone with the kite, guided by the radio attached to your helmet (a valuable aid for rapid progress).

3rd and 4th sessions – Waterstart (4h)

The big day is here!
It's time to strap on your board and start learning to glide.
During these lessons, the instructor will give you all the necessary advice to get the board under your feet, keep control of the kite and succeed in standing up.
Let's go for the first gliding sensations!
5th and 6th sessions - first tacks, securing navigation, sailing upwind (4 hours)
You learn to confirm your first tacks. You stand up at each waterstart, you improve your sail handling technique, you sail on both sides without falling.
You learn to manage your speed and to stop properly. The instructor will then teach you the transitions (turns), that is, jibes (downwind) and tacks (upwind).
You will also learn the rules of priority in navigation and how to navigate among other kiters, as well as how to launch the kite.

Wingfoil course: structure and progression
Wingfoiling is a new and rapidly growing discipline, accessible to everyone, and requires no prior experience in water sports.
It's an inflatable wing equipped with handles; you hold it at arm's length (without a harness), and it will propel you to glide and fly above the water. It's a mix between windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kitesurfing, and foiling. A gliding sensation is guaranteed from the very first lesson, and after a few hours of practice, you'll start making your first flights!
The 3 stages of learning
-
The first step is to rig the equipment (assembly) and learn how to handle the wing on the beach.
This phase is very quick, as the wing is quite intuitive to handle. In just 30 minutes to an hour, you'll be able to simulate a waterstart, learn land maneuvers, work on your piloting skills, and then finish with a few transitions on the sand.
-
The second step is to successfully sail across the wind. Standing on a large and stable board, you will learn to sail across the wind (perpendicular to the wind), then upwind (going upwind) and finally downwind (going downwind).
You will also learn to control the direction at low speed, without the foil coming into play, with the board flat on the water.
-
The third step is to reach enough speed to lift the foil off the ground. You then begin to fly and steer more smoothly. The wing's pull becomes very light, requiring little physical effort in your arms.

Following this lesson, the most gifted will be able to start learning transitions (turns), whether jibes or tacks.
Thanks to the Gong 2050 cm cross over foil, ideal for beginners, the flight will take place at very low speed with impressive stability!
Always accompanied by a professional sports instructor, in private lessons with radio, rapid progress is guaranteed.
